What i did?
In my college magazine i took an image of a student, photo shopped thew background out and inserted the image of the student into an A4 canvas in photo shop. I then inserted other images such as the building and the principle and cut out his body and his head was all that remained. I then added all of the text into the canvas in Photoshop and an image of the Clarendon logo for the mast head and added the name of the magazine "Clarendon Weekly." I then changed all of the background to black and amended anything that needed amending, and then i was done. I believe i did meet of of the brief criteria because the cover contained all of the conventions and everything needed to be in the magazine.
What went well?
I believe my colour scheme went well because it made my cover look really professional with the black, white and grey look. Also my fonts went well as i believe they look good and really suits my magazine. I got my fonts from "Da font." Also my cover lines went well especially with some of the images which go with it. Also m y mast head i believe goes really well because of the sizing and its all really plain with a slight bit of colour and it all works really well.
Even better if...
My magazine could be better if my main image was better because i really struggled with having to get the background out and the quality did not look the best so if i was to do it again I would improve the image quality. Also to improve I think the text in the mast head could have an effect so that it stood out some more like a drop shadow or something to make it bolder.
