Here I changed the background and kept it white, but added a bit of a texture because it gave it a bit more of a real look and it made the page stand out a bit more so when it would appear on a shelf it would stand out which I believe is good.

Here what I did was I edited the typography on my text so I fixed the kerning and tracking so that I brought them closer together and then made them larger so that it fills up the page more. I then Moved the plug to lower and then the magazine looks busier and I was happy.

Original, my image of Joe was to be a long shot however I have decided that the page needed filling up so I made the image larger so you only see half of his body so now it is a medium-long shot.

Today, I edited my contents page. The edits I made was that I added text onto the image of Joe, I also made the black boxes to go all the way across the page. I now believe this is finished.

Here, instead of using the magic wand tool to fix the image, I decided to use the rubber to get a smoother edge.

Today I started cleaning up an image of Joe on photoshop to get rid of the blue outline, I used the magic wand tool.

I asked the same friend which previously gave me feedback about what he thought of the current state of my magazine and he said he likes how I have added more detail in the double page spread even though it is very subtle with the text at the bottom as you can see below.This is good for me and means the feedback he provided helped.

Here is the article and some questions and answers I will have on my double page spread:

       Index, one of the most fast growing indie bands in the world at the Minute. They started off as three mates, all Manchester lads, doing Manchester pub gigs when they got their big break.They got offered A chance to gig the Manchester Academy and they took the chance and went the one night. There was a full house .  When they finished the gig. The owner of the Manchester academy spoke to them talking about how much he loved what they was doing and thought they had something special, and offered them weekly gig they’re. As there weeks gone the crowds got bigger until  the Academy was sold out every night. Everyone wanted to see “Index.”A big record company watched and admired and at the end of the night they Approached Index and spoke. Later on that night they signed with them and got bigger gigs and  they kept growing and put big


What is the best thing about being in a band?
“Well the best thing is we all get to do something
we love with our best friends”

Where is your favourite place to gig?
“Definitely at the Manchester Academy because
that’s our hometown and where it all began for us”

What are the plans for the future for you?
We are planning a new tour which will be our biggest yet and it will be a world told with city’s like Tokoyo and Stockholm which should be interesting because they are different languages so we don’t know if we will have to learn the language, probably not but yeah, those are our plans.

Does it annoy you that you get little privacy?
“From the press it does sometimes because they chat a load of shit
about us but from the fans no because we love them and they are mint!

Do any of you have any hobies that you do when you are not peforming or working?
”To be honest we all just go to someones house and play fifa or GTA or something and just chill all together cause we are all mates so its good to just relax and have a beer and not think about work, it’s a load of bants.


Where do yopu get inspiration to write your songs?
We just use personal experiences and storys because that way our music means something to us and the fans because its like we are sharing our story with our fans so they are coming on our journey and they are getting to know us through our music so this means a lot to us so thats our inspiration and thats how we write our songs.

Who is your favourite artist?
We really like the proper Indie band like Oasis and we want to really be like them cause they are from Manchester like us so we would really like to ber like them and they are like who we wanna be and we wanna be as big as them so they are our favourite.


And finally, are there any weird memories you’ve had together?
“There was this time when we was touring and a fan which was a dwarf got on the bus
 and we didn’t even stop them and ended up playing strip poker all night. It was top.

Research and planning: Plan for the week 14/03/16

My magazine up to now is also complete, I have just got to make minor tweaks such as fill in empty white spaces which don't need to be empty, and just fix the side columns on my contents page, so nothing major, just small adjustments which need making, that is what I will focus on this week and then my magazine should be complete.

Research and planning: Update 1/3/16

I have improved  my contents page, what I did was I aded more text and numbers and put them in a black line because I believe it made the format look nicer in more organised, I then added text above my person and arced the text so it went around his head and looks good, and I then added some text to explain why he is there and added an editors comment to show that the post of the person and the text around him is part of an editors comment.
