In this lesson I carried on with my magazine

Research and planning: Shooting schedule

I will have different times to shoot different photos and here are the photos that need taking and when they will be took:

The wall outside for a background image, this will be on a dry sunny day.
The image of Jack - This will be taken first thing as this is the main focus of my cover
Image of Emma - This will be later on because she is just a plug so after I have arranged everything I shall then take the image and decide what sort of image.
Image of Joe - This will be the last photo taken as it is an easy image to take as it is a long shot and there will not be too many effects so it will just be put into the contents page so this is simple.
Image of Jake and Luke, this will be taken early on, preferably the same time as the image if Jack because they are also an important feature and will need a lot of work doing.

These are some examples of a band shot with 3 people in. This is the sort of images I want. especially the second one as they looking indie and have a simple background and have the correct costumes on.

Fonts

There are two types of fonts used which as Serif and Sans Serif fonts.

Sans Serif
These fonts don't have any curls at the end of the letters and are straight lines. These are sans serif.

Serif 
These fonts have curls and flourishes at the end of the letters this is because it makes the letters easier to read. These are serif fonts.

For my cover image of Jack I will want him to do a pose similar to this where there is an indirect mode of address sf a medium close up. I will want this because I feel it looks indie and also this pose is a bit of inspiration so this sort of idea I shall take for my own.

These are my three practise shot types. We have a long shot, medium shot, a close up and a band shot. Following these are music magazines with the shot types what we took on an actual magazine with actual artists.

Research and planning: Inspiration

For my magazine I have got inspiration from a Q magazine like the one above. This gave me inspiration to only use a few colours such as red and black, a bold simple logo. A main image with the indirect mode of address, I may use this idea for mine because it is good and for my category of magazine it would work so this sort of magazine is inspiration to mine.

Double page spread  are all in different ways, her are a few different types. I have found these from the internet to get some research and inspiration for my own double page spread and the feedback I can I can take is that they all have an image on one half and text on the other so I shall use this theme for my own.
